Godshill
Godshill Park Farm is located on the outskirts of Godshill and situated
within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village of Godshill
is renowned for its pretty thatched cottages, 14th Century church
and tea gardens. Queen Victoria dined at The
Essex' (Tel: 01983 840232). The model village, The Old Smithy
and a small natural history museum are also to be found in the village
along with two good pubs, the Griffin Inn and The Cask & Taverners.
Godshill Organics farm shop is approx 2 miles from the farm and
stocks a wide range of own grown fresh produce and organic food.
High street shops, supermarkets and banks are located in the Island's
'capital', Newport which is a pleasant 6 miles away.
The sandy beaches of Shanklin and Ventnor are only a seven minute
drive away.
How to get to Godshill Park Farm.
Travelling by car from Godshill to Shanklin on the A3020, Godshill
Park Farm is accessed by a driveway on the right hand-side, 100
metres past the Griffin Inn.
There
is a train service from Ryde to Shanklin from where you can either
take a taxi or local bus www.islandbuses.info/
(Southern Vectis) to Godshill. From the bus stop in the village
there is a short walk to the house. Alternatively
we may be able to meet you given prior notice.
